Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi

Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, retired from the Indian Army on 31 July 2017 as General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Army. He was responsible for the border defence with four countries, the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China, as also the military response to the Doklam incident on Sikkim border with China. He was commissioned into Skinner’s Horse and is a graduate of the National Defence College. He had a foreign tenure in Tanzania and is an alumnus of Asia Pacific Centre for Strategic Studies, Hawaii. Currently he is Board of Directors of two Companies, is accredited as a Distinguished Fellow with USI and is a member of Marshall Goldsmith MG 25 (India).
