Dr. Devendra Kumar is an Associate Fellow at the Centre of Excellence for Himalayan Studies, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR. Dr. Devendra holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Department of Political Science, University of Hyderabad, and his doctoral thesis examined domestic politics and China’s approaches to the international in the Post-1978 period with a particular focus on the political legitimacy of the Communist Party of China (CPC). His research interests include China and international order, political legitimacy of the Communist Party of China (CPC), territorial sovereignty questions in China’s peripheries, and political economy with particular focus on western regions of China, and intellectuals and party ideology.
