Mr. Kaushal Kishore Chandel

Mr. Kaushal Kishore Chandel works as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Chinese and South East Asian Studies (CCSEAS), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He has also served as an Assistant Professor in the Centre for Far East Language (Chinese), Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi, Jharkhand (2013-2014). He was recipient of the prestigious "Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowship 2019-20" at India China Institute, The New School, New York. He was also a Visiting Researcher at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), Beijing, which was supported by Hanban's (Confucius Institute Headquarters) "Understanding China Fellowship 2018-19" (理解中国项目). His areas of interest are: Learning and Teaching Chinese Language and Culture; China's Cyber Strategies and Policies; Translation Theories and Approaches (Chinese-English and English-Chinese); China's Strategic Culture etc. His recent publications include: ‘China as a Factor in Taiwan’s National Cyber Security Strategy’, Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS) Occasional Paper, Issue No: 94, Aug 2022; “China's Perception of Cyber Security: Conflict and Cooperation with BRICS Nations” (retitled as "China's Cyber Issues"), has been published as a book chapter in the book titled "China and the BRICS, Setting Up a Different Kitchen" published in 2016 by Pentagon Press, New Delhi; Translation of the book titled ‘Selected Works of Guo Moruo’ into Hindi (to be published by National Book Trust); 'Asia as Method' in Analysing and Translating Guo Moruo's Literary Works (forthcoming).
