Anuttama Banerji is a political analyst based in New Delhi, India. She is presently a Visiting Fellow with NIICE, Nepal and has held the South Asia Visiting Fellowship with the Stimson Center in the United States in 2023. On the academic front, she has a Master's degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the UK. Her core research areas include India-US defense cooperation along with water and maritime security in South Asia. Her recent journal publications have appeared in Strategic Analysis and the Journal of the United Services Institution of India. Her work has also been published widely in leading national and international media outlets like the Deccan Herald, Greater Kashmir, Lowy Interpreter, South Asian Voices, South China Morning Post, The Diplomat and the 09DashLine among others. She is a polyglot and is fluent in French and Urdu in addition to her native Hindi and Bengali. She is also a contributing author for ORCA-NIICE Special Issue on "Transboundary Water Security in South Asia".
