Lam Tran is a program coordinator for Australia Chair at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where she focuses on projects involving U.S.-Australia relations and security in the Indo-Pacific region. Prior to joining CSIS, Lam worked at the Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and at the Congressional Research Service, where her research revolved around China's political economy, the U.S.-Japan-Vietnam relation, issues related to data governance, and emerging technology policy. She is also a member of the Pacific Forum Young Leaders Program. Lam graduated magna cum laude with a BA in government and China studies and a minor in English literature from Franklin and Marshall College.
