ORCA'S WORKSHOP @ FLAME UNIVERSITY, PUNE

Senior Research Associate Rahul Karan Reddy hosted a Workshop on Data Visualization for Geopolitics at FLAME Univeristy as part of ORCA's MoU on Academic and Research Cooperation.

The workshop demonstrated how to deploy open-source data and software/tools to build powerful visualisations that can enhance the analysis of topics in social sciences. From dashboards to graphs and maps, the workshop explored simple but effective ways of visualising data to complement qualitative analysis. The workshop is centred around the use of Excel and Tableau to visualise large datasets, and will explore the landscape of data visualisation tools and techniques. The workshop demonstrated how to work with data on relevant topics in domains like international relations, public policy, sociology, journalism, psychology, economics and finance, environmental science as well as literary and culture studies.
