It captures India’s imports and exports to China between 2011-12 to 2021-22 based on the Harmonised System (HS Codes).

China’s Little Giants policy is central to its strategy of enhancing supply chain resilience and fostering innovation amid domestic economic challenges and external pressures, notably from the US-China trade war. Introduced in 2018, the initiative nurtures specialized SMEs in strategic sectors, incentivizing R&D, patents and domestic market consolidation. These SMEs are key suppliers to China’s global firms and benefit from state support, yet remain vulnerable to structural issues such as capital market volatility, overcapacity and declining private investment. Increasing Party influence over these enterprises raises concerns about their independence and international credibility. While the Little Giants may not immediately transform into global players, they are critical to China’s long-term efforts to de-risk and domesticate key industrial chains.

Religious exchanges, especially pilgrimages to Mount Kailash, have long symbolized the fluid cultural ties and contested sovereignties between India, Tibet, and China. The recent reopening of the Kailash yātrā reflects cautious Sino-Indian rapprochement post-Galwan. However, such religious engagement implicitly challenges Beijing’s authority in Tibet. Under Xi Jinping, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (中央纪律检查委员会) and National Supervisory Commission (国家监察委员会) have taken on greater significance. China's anti-corruption campaign since 2013 has investigated and prosecuted many high-level members of the Party, PLA and various institutions across the Party-State-Society spectrum in China. The far-reaching anti-corruption campaign conducted during Xi Jinping’s tenure has impacted elite politics in China as well as policy implementation.
