On November 5–7, 2025, ORCA Director Eerishika Pankaj represented the Organisation for Research on China and Asia (ORCA) at The Manila Dialogue on the South China Sea, convened by the WPS Philippines initiative at the Grand Hyatt Manila.

The Dialogue brought together eminent scholars, diplomats, policymakers, and strategic affairs experts to deliberate on advancing a free, open, and rules-based maritime order in the Indo-Pacific. Participants exchanged ideas and policy recommendations aimed at ensuring that the rule of law, rather than coercion or the use of force, guides the resolution of disputes and underpins regional peace and stability.

During the sessions, Director Eerishika Pankaj actively contributed to discussions on regional security dynamics, maritime governance, and the evolving strategic architecture in the South China Sea. She engaged in question-and-answer interactions with panelists, exchanged insights with leading sinologists, ambassadors, and regional experts, and articulated perspectives on the importance of multilateral cooperation and inclusive maritime norms.

In addition to the dialogue, she participated in an interview with STREP PH media. Her participation not only amplified ORCA’s presence in high-level regional security forums but also paved the way for new avenues of collaboration and research partnerships across the Indo-Pacific region.
